Dahlonega Timken Expansion Adds 50 New Jobs
Working with the Lumpkin County Development Authority, the Timken Company, which has been in Dahlonega since 1980, expanded their local plant and added a new 15,000 square-foot warehouse at Red Oak Park. The expansion added 50 new jobs to the local Timken workforce to increase production of their needle bearings which are used in the automotive industry.

Home Depot Opens Newest Store in Lumpkin County
The Home Depot recently opened a 130,000 square-foot store at the end of GA 400 and Highway 60 in Lumpkin County to support the growing building and home improvement activity in north Georgia. The Lumpkin County Development Authority assisted with needed infrastructure to promote job growth and property/sales tax expansion in Dahlonega.

Candler Concrete is Newest Industry to Red Oak Park
A north Georgia concrete manufacturer is relocating to a protected industrial site at Red Oak Park, owned by the Lumpkin County Development Authority. Candler Concrete has eight locations in north Georgia and is expanding in Lumpkin because of local construction growth.
